Why Join Guides?
Guides is a fun way of making new friends. It helps girls grow by gaining skills in communication, teamwork, decision making and leadership. We go on camps, try and learn a wide range of activities, some adventurous, but all in a safe and supportive environment. We complete challenges and get awarded badges which you may have seen on our sashes. But most of all—we have fun!!!

The Guide Mission Statement
Enabling girls and young women to grow into confident, self-respecting, responsible community members.

Why is it just for girls?
Research has shown that girls and young women can achieve more when they are in an all girls environment.

Where we are
The Guide Hall of the Elanora District is located in the grounds of the Elanora Heights Public School. It is just inside the entrance to the school on the right. There is parking near the Hall, or in Elanora Road near the shops.

Trying guides
Many girls start Guides by attending a “Bring a Friend’ night, where they join in activities and learn about Guide traditions. However, girls are encouraged to try Guides on any night. Arrange it with the Leader of the appropriate age group

A girl can visit for two weeks whilst she decides if Guiding is the right thing for her. After that time, she will need to join Girl Guides NSW & ACT to continue attending.
